Steve Vujnovich

Lead Director / Lead Guide

Steve Vujnovich has always been passionate about the outdoors.  He brings this same passion into the Trailrhythms mission.  His experience isn’t all that unique when it comes to recognizing how humans are littering the eco system.  What is unique is that he is doing something about it.  He believes it’s important to educate the world, parents and children, as well as tourist, locals, educators, politician’s business owners and friends on the Leave No Trace principals.   It starts there.

 Certified with the American Mountain Guide Association (SPI) , NOLS ( National Oudoor Leadership) and as a Wilderness First Responder  and a student of Leave No Trace he has made an oath- To share his experinces – knowlage and skill set to  make aware that The environment has needs to.  With his Network of like minded advocates , he will continue to forge ahead to keep learning and sharing. 

Renee Caton

Education Director

Renee Caton is a retired teacher with over 25 years working with students and mentoring teachers.   We are very fortunate to have her on the team developing curriculum for our various programs.  She has developed programs for kid groups as well as adult groups.  Taking the curriculum and making it digestible for vast age differences is her expertise, a true talent.  She has a clear understanding about Leave No Trace and how it applies to every micro environment.

Renee loves to swim in the warm oceans of Hawaii and knows the importance of keeping all our water clean.  

Adam Snyder

Lead Guide & Consultant

Working as a professional climbing guide  as   Single Pitch Instructor and a Rock Guide with the American Mountian Guide Association Adam is no stranger to the vertical world. He is also a Ski Patrol leader . Currently living in the great state of Oregon, Adam will make his way to the Big Island several times a year to assist Trail Rhythms with operations for large and complex trips and instructional programs   

Adam Schmidt

Guide

Adam has always enjoyed being outdoors and exploring, from hiking and backpacking to climbing and canyoneering. Having recreational canyoneering training and volunteering for Big Island Search and Rescue Adam hopes to share his knowledge of the outdoors and leave no trace ethics. As an event organizer for an outdoor group, Adam has spent much time around the island of Hawaii and working with Trail Rhythms to help people get into the outdoors responsibly and safely.
