Trail Rhythms Camp

All camps foster an appreciation and understanding of what is mālama ‘āina – with small group instruction, hiking and repelling activities, and games, all fostering the “Leave no Trace” principles.

The Curious Gorge

A half-day program where you will learn the basic principles of “Leave No Trace.”  This fast-paced fun camp is hands-on and interactive.  Encouraging a new mindset with a focus on protecting our gulches and waterways, ultimately impacting our oceans and marine life. End your session with an exciting climb up a 40-foot wall and zip line experience.  Minimum class size 8.

The Bright Side

This is a full-day camp.  You’ll begin your day at camp with a review of the “Leave No Trace” principles and move into a course on rope and repelling. Time will be spent practicing your new skills then the remainder of the day will be putting into practice what you have learned taking a guided rappelling trip down a gulch/waterway we have adopted to continue the maintenance. It’s a long and rewarding day.  This is a perfect course for those visiting the island who would like to have a fun adventure that can leave a positive impact on our aina.  Kamianina come join us -be part of the solution while learning some serious repelling skills! Ho‘okahua 

(To Lay the foundation) 

This is a consecutive 3-day course designed to dive deep into “Leave No trace Principals” and have meaningful hands-on experiences.   This camp will get a little technical learning more involved climbing, repelling, and rope skills.  We will be taking these new skills to a Gulch/Waterway for some serious hands-on experience. Minimum class size 8.

Mālama ‘āina  (Care for the land)

Make an Impact! This is an 8-day course- Perfect for home school and scouting groups.  This course can be customized to 1-2 days per week and is ideal for groups of 8-20.  We will dive deep into the “Leave no trace principles” breaking one down each day and putting it to practice.  You will be doing activities such as build shelters, learn knots, filtering water and so much more. Each day we will be building on rope skills, belaying, and practicing teamwork while rappelling.  The camp will conclude with our final day repelling into a Gulch/Waterway applying our new skills and clearing rubbish to protect our aina.

  • $260 per camper      

All camps will conclude with campers being offered to sign a leave no trace pact, pledging to follow the principles  for life and encourage others to do so too
